Madhouse - the abandoned Asylum
"Once you enter these halls, you realize, nothing has ever stopped here"
Around the year 1870 a severe epidemic broke out. It was necessary to rebuild some buildings as hospitals and so this building became a hospital. The years passed, after the sick came the chronically ill and slowly more and more people who were regarded as mentally ill. The transitional solution became a fixed institution - a psychiatric clinic.
In 1948 the director of the hospital wrote:
"It has survived a kind of horror from distant epochs, the buildings, their presentation, were terribly inhuman and presented a terrifying gloomy imagination."

I hadnt posted anything on Deviant for awhile due to some things I was going through. I hadnt even taken my camera out in like 8 months maybe? Well things have turned around as of about November and I became in a much better place in my mind. Let things go that were bothering me and I felt much better. It seemed once I did that good things came my way :D. I'm back into photography thanks to meeting up with a new group of great people around November/December. Too bad that happened when the weather was getting cold but better late then never.
I haven't posted here since August. I totally lost my love of photography after so called friends and people around me fell very short of even being human. I cant even begin to write what all went down but it was a domino effect of car people that did it. People asking us to drive 2.5 hrs to photograph in less then ideal conditions even though 2 months prior we asked them to scout out a few areas for the backdrops they wanted.....middle of the day shooting....in the same spot and we ended up with $75 which paid for the gas and that's it. They nagged us to finish their calendar of the same shots then when it comes time to pay no word for month
We met up with a group from Maryland last night to photograph their cars. I made a post on their board looking for Mustangs to photograph a week ago or so and they invited us up to their weekly meet. I can't say how great it was to photograph something other then Camaros! I was very tired of photographing them....needed something new :D. On my Flickr site I have 35 sets of Camaros so now I'll be adding some variety :D. I'll be posting up some pics soon. We'll be meeting up with them again for better backdrops as this was kinda like a meet and greet.
I would really appreciate it if you would check out my facebook page www.facebook.com/MarvinDiehlPh… maybe you like it and even want to support me there by following.
